A superior Irish whiskey
In the spirit & tradition of our time-honored Irish regiment and the world’s finest Irish whiskeys, we have crafted an Irish Whiskey that is truly worthy of the name:
The Fighting 69th Imported Irish Whiskey
Distilled & imported from Ireland, it possesses a unique mash bill combining superior quality barley and malted barley with pure Irish water, resulting in an extraordinary Irish Whiskey.
“For many years, we’ve been searching for an Irish Whiskey worthy of the 69th’s 170-year tradition, one we’re proud to hold up to toast our history before we annually lead the nation’s largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Today I’m pleased and honored to tell you we’re making one to call our own…The Fighting 69th Irish Whiskey!”
– Colonel (Ret.) James Tierney, Sixty Ninth Regiment Historical Trust
The 69th Infantry
The storied ‘Irish Brigade’ regiment, one of the oldest and most honored military units in the history of the United States, is proud to present its first Irish whiskey to America.
Founded in 1849 as a New York state Irish militia, the 69th has fought as a U.S. Army infantry regiment in major engagements from the civil war to modern day Iraq and Afghanistan. Its armory is located in NYC on Lexington avenue between east 25th and 26th streets.

How Fighting 69th Irish Whiskey Came to Be
Each year before the St.Patrick’s Day Parade, members of the Fighting 69th raise a glass to toast their heritage, the historic sacrifices made by their Regiment, and the peoples of Ireland and America. For decades, the leadership of the 69th had searched for a whiskey worthy of the occasion.
In 2016, Honorary Colonel of the Regiment and Trustee of the Sixty-Ninth Infantry Regiment Historical Trust, Colonel James Tierney, attended the annual 1848 Tricolour Celebration in Waterford, Ireland. It was while he was in Waterford, on a tour of a local distillery, that Tierney decided it was time for the 69th to develop its own whiskey brand.
Three years later Colonel Tierney's vision was realized. Today, one dollar of every bottle sold goes to support the Sixty-Ninth Infantry Regiment Historical Trust, a 501-c-3 not-for-profit foundation created to preserve the history and traditions of the Regiment, and provide financial and other assistance to unit members, veterans, and/or their families.
